This Site is Still Under Construction

WELCOME to Gemstones by Chris Website.
This site currently remains under construction as I finish editing its features and notes. As such, the STORE is currently in a Demo-Testing Mode only. I am Unable to process ANY orders via this site yet. More on this below.

I have already photographed “most” of my gemstones, but still have several yet to photograph and I still need to record a short video for each of my gems on a turntable. Properly photographing gemstones is a time-consuming effort that includes taking the photos in a suitable environment (eg: Studio Light Box), editing and optimizing each of the photos for the web, uploading photos for each gemstone and entering all the details pertinent to each gemstone. At least I now have a new phone which supposedly has a far better camera than the one I have been using. I’m hoping that will reduce the amount of editing needed to illustrate accurate colours etc. For now, I will be uploading the photos already taken with my old phone but I plan on replacing each of them in time with better quality images but this might take a while ! The currently uploaded photos are Placeholders Only and are being used to Test the Site … but they are for sale !   hint hint   lol

Once my current stock has been uploaded, it will require minimal time and effort to add new gemstones as they are produced. That said, I hope to have this site completely operational by the end of January 2024 (a little later than originally planned !). Meanwhile, if you are in need of a Gemstone for a Gift or any Jewellery-related needs, please contact me at your convenience. Most of my gems can still be seen on my Gemstones by Chris FACEBOOK Page (photo gallery). I also have a good variety of Gemstone Rough in stock for anyone requiring a “special” stone to be cut.   🙂

I sincerely appreciate your patience and do hope that you will continue to check in to watch the website grow. Meanwhile, I am happy to announce that the CONTACT US form is now working correctly (found in the ABOUT menu). I sincerely apologize to anyone who has taken the time to attempt to contact me using this form prior to today. Unfortunately, the form was “busted” and I never received any messages sent using the form. At least it is now functioning properly.
